The movie is short at only 55 minutes long, which is both a good and a bad thing.
After all, toxic waste was involved, and how many accidents occur because of the improper disposal of it? Sure, it doesn't create giant, dimension-altering monsters, but you can easily get the idea that these sort of things can and do get bad. The whole plot of how Janemba was created seems to have an environmental message to it. Definitely plenty of laughs to offset the martial arts action and violence. Even the wish-granting dragon Shenron, normally so stoic and serious, manages to get some laughs in. Goku and Vegeta's first attempt at Fusion brings some hilarious results, especially the fight that follows. Thankfully, there's also plenty of comedy to be had, from Goku's eagerness to fight, to Gohan taking down former DBZ villain Frieza, to Goten and Trunks fighting the undead army of the Dictator, especially his reaction to the two going Super Saiyan. At least they have a reason for it, what with the living dead walking the Earth and a monster ripping the dimensions apart.
Just about the entire movie has the characters fighting one another, throwing punches, kicks and energy blast like they're going out of style. Naturally, there's lots of action to be had. Yes, it is confusing, but that doesn't stop one from enjoying the film. Those who know the storyline will know the film takes place after the battle with Majin Buu, however Goku and Vegeta are still dead, whereas they were returned to life at the end of the battle. Like other DBZ films before it, it has ties to the original continuity of the series, but soon branches off into its own universe. But will even that be enough against a being who can literally move across dimensions?įusion Reborn is the latest DBZ movie FUNimation has released. And when Janemba evolves into a more dangerous form, Goku and Vegeta have to team up and perform the Fusion technique to get that extra boost. While the deceased Goku fights Janemba in Other World, Gohan, Videl, Goten and Trunks have to fight various villains from their past, along with a familiar-looking dictator. With the dead now walking the Earth, heroes on both sides have their hands full. An industrial accident occurs in Other World, and the accumulation of waste from the Soul Cleansing machine getting dumped results in the creation of Janemba, a creature who quickly throws the dimensions into turmoil.
